Tale
Jackal is an elusive killer who earns his living by killing for the largest sums of money. Soon he meets his adversary in the person of a persistent British intelligence officer, who tracks him down in an exciting cat-and-mouse chase across Europe.
Jackal is seen driving a white Alfa Romeo Spider
In The Day of the Jackal (1973), the Jackal also drives a white Alfa Romeo, although it is an earlier model. Mentioned in Graham Norton and the Fanatics: Denzel Washington/Paul Mezcal/Sirsha Ronan/Eddie Redmayne/Blossoms (2024).
The cast shows a very good performance
The narration is thorough, with unexpected twists that keep you in suspense, and the cinematography perfectly conveys the eerie atmosphere. However, I have to say that Ms.
Lynch’s performance was very disappointing
Her acting gave the impression of being very one-dimensional, which, unfortunately, contradicted the cast, which was full of strong, subtle characters. It’s not about race: I can think of several brilliant black actresses who could have given this role more depth and complexity.
Of course, it is not ideal, but it is worth paying attention to
It’s just that his performance did not match the quality of the series as a whole, which was disappointing. Nevertheless, the series is worth watching because of its plot and the stellar performance of the other actors.

Tale
Clotaire, a rebellious local teenager, falls in love with his classmate Jackie, but gang violence leads him down a darker and more destructive path. Malik Frikah, who plays the 17-year-old Clotaire in this film, was a world champion break dancer at the age of 10. One of the characters is wearing a Rolex Daytona Ceramic from the 1990s, but the watch wasn’t released until 2016.

The first part with the kids is pretty good. The movie should have ended there for the sake of the audience. And Gilles Lellouche would have directed one of the best French teen novels of the decade.
The rest of the film, the second act, is horrible
Actors François Civil and Adèle Exarchopoulos lack chemistry together, their performances in this film are dull and uncompromising. I suspect that both actors should start thinking about their own careers in French cinema as soon as the two newcomers Mallory Wanecque and Malik Frikah step up and steal the show in this confusing and mediocre film. At first, the movie looks like a modern version of The Count of Monte Cristo…
Stylized and tasteless men’s look
I mean the old story of a wronged young rebel who returns for revenge and to find his beloved. However, it falls into an exaggerated and caricatured toxic masculinity. And in the middle and end of the second act, the plot loses its credibility.
What we have already seen
On top of all the weight, the problem is the strange determination the film shows in demanding originality in every shot without ever achieving it. Whenever it’s time to decide, always choose the most formal and obvious. And so, it plays for three hours, essentially a French blockbuster with good marketing and public relations behind it, which is what the French audience will see this year.
