This is a very British TV series, with good acting and dark humour in the style of Guy Ritchie. I really enjoyed it and binged it in one day.
It is great to see Ben Whishaw take on the role of a murderer who happens to be gay, named a gay murderer. These days, sexuality is too often overplayed in an attempt to make a social statement, which often weighs down the story.
It’s also nice to see Sara Lancashire playing an upper-class leader of an international spy ring instead of a salt-of-the-north character. No need to waste time scrolling endlessly – here’s the full lineup of new movies and TV shows streaming on Netflix this month.
