Media maven Muncie Daniels must fight for his innocence and his life after he stumbles upon a murder deep in the Poconos. Colman Domingo’s first starring role on TV. Coleman Domingo is becoming my favorite actor. He can really make reading the phone book a captivating story. And that’s almost as captivating as The Madness is at this point. The dialogue is almost embarrassingly bad. They try so hard to be punchy and fast-paced, but it comes off as very predictable and cheesy. From the very beginning, there’s so much in the story that defies the most basic common sense. I constantly find myself asking myself “why, why, why?” So much so that after episode 2, I skipped episode 7 just to see what happens at the end. I have no doubt that there’s little more than a lot of overwrought narration and superfluous dialogue in the episodes I skipped.
