I am sure that this film was shot with great care and love, BUT what it lacked the most, in my opinion, is BREATHING. Opera singers learn to control their breathing to charm us. And I agree with other less favorable reviews that the opening act was a really bad example of a soundtrack, especially since I couldn’t see Miss Jolie breathing! Of course, La Callas lived a glamorous life, but it seemed to me that in this film the emphasis was more on the visual series. This film made me stop watching it until the end, and I regret it. I also had high hopes for these two iconic women. “One Hundred Years of Loneliness” is one of the biggest TV and streaming premieres this month. Check out our December calendar to learn more!
